When you’re a member of the YMCA,
You’re part of a non-profit organization with a vision of building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.
You can improve yourself through high-quality activities and programs that focus on you as a total person – in spirit, mind, and body.
You benefit from the stability of a charitable organization that has been operating in the U.S. since 1851.
You’re surrounded by people who care more about values like honesty and respect than what you’re wearing or what you look like.
You’re a member of a community that welcomes and embraces people of all abilities, incomes, races, and religions.
You can meet old friends and make new ones.
You join a worldwide fellowship of 45 million people involved in Ys in some 124 countries.
You belong to an association that offers financial aid to people who can’t pay the full membership or program fees.
You know that the programs and services are offered as a way to fulfill the YMCA mission ~ not as a way to create corporate profits.
You’re as likely to hear the voices of preschoolers as you are the laughter of older adults, and the conversations of teens.
You’re encouraged to put the Y mission into action by sharing time, talent, and treasure as a volunteer or donor.
You have fun!
If you’re not a member of the YMCA, please join us. If you are, we’d love for you to become more involved. To find out more, please talk to the YMCA folks at the Member Service desk, or to any staff member or volunteer that you know.
Access to the YMCA facilities will be denied if membership card is not presented when attending the facility. Replacement membership cards must be turned in when canceling membership.
Guest Pass Policy
Guest passes are for friends, family, business associates, etc. who have a serious interest in joining the YMCA, but would like to sample the facilities and programs. We invite our guests to receive a tour, during which a pass may be given.
All guests may receive three guest passes per calendar year at no charge when accompanied by an active adult facility member. All visits without a guest pass are $15 per day for ages 15 and up and $10 per day for youth ages 14 and under.
All guests must provide the YMCA with a photo ID.
Members are required to accompany their guests upon check in at the membership desk for entry.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to provide you with a better overall member experience.
Thank you for your membership at the Port Arthur YMCA. Please contact Barbara Smith or Kathy Pollock at 409-962-6644 if you have any questions.
